ALMA announces Leadership promotions

Alma announced the promotion of Michelle Headley, Angela Battistini, Leo Peet and Angela Rodriguez within its executive leadership team. These promotions come on the heels of a year in which the agency saw significant new business growth, adding 11 new brand partners and effectively growing its roster by 44%.

Alma’s work in 2020 and early 2021 with current and longtime brand partners, including Pepsi and McDonald’s, has further demonstrated and proved the agency’s audience expertise in marrying modern cultural context with today’s immensely diverse consumer landscape through genuine brand campaigns. Most recently, the agency successfully petitioned the induction of Tom “The Iceman” Flores into the Pro Football Hall of Fame through its campaign with Coors Light; and collaborated with Latin Grammy Award-winning artist J Balvin for an exclusive music video, titled “Dorado” for McDonald’s.

“Alma has many strengths that set us apart, including our remarkable leaders who have helped shape the agency into the modern culture powerhouse it is today,” says alma’s Creative Chairman and CEO, Luis Miguel Messianu. “I am incredibly honored and privileged to be working alongside these amazing “soulmates,” and couldn’t be happier to continue supporting their journey and reveling in their innovations and successes that are strengthening our capabilities and impact on brand partners.”

Michelle Headley has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations, continuing her role in overseeing the agency’s day-to-day operations in several departments, including production, human resources, and project management. An award-winning producer, Headley has created numerous campaigns for alma’s leading brands such as McDonald’s, State Farm, Tylenol, and Hanes. Among her many accomplishments at alma, she has led the development of alma Studio, the agency’s in-house editorial and post production unit.

Angela Battistini has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Account Management, continuing her leadership as a passionate advocate for alma’s brand partners on their journey to making more authentic connections with diverse consumer segments. Since joining alma, Battistini has been instrumental in advancing alma’s capabilities to support the evolving business strategies of large and longtime brand partners, such as McDonald’s and State Farm.

Angela Rodriguez has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Strategic Insights, continuing to help brands be successful through the strategic philosophy that specificity drives authenticity, and that leads to great work. Rodriguez leads one of the largest, most diverse teams of strategists in the industry to uncover deep, segment-focused cultural insights for brands including Pepsi, McDonald’s, State Farm, Cerveza Sol, Miller Lite and Clorox. She will also continue to oversee the work done by alma’s Culture Lab, an innovation think tank that leads the marketplace in cultural curation, consulting and research.

Leo Peet has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance, where he will continue to oversee the company’s financials, leveraging his over 20 years experience in marketing and advertising. Peet has been an alma “soulmate” for the past 15 years, with previous stints at Leo Burnett WW as Regional Finance Director and Contacto Marketing and Communications as Chief Financial Officer; and has worked with brands including McDonald’s, State Farm, Procter & Gamble, and Hyundai.
