Bellas sells Fiesta Broadway Festival

After founding one of the nation’s leading Hispanic festivals, Peter Bellas starts new event marketing consulting firm.

After 27 rewarding years as the producer of FIESTA BROADWAY, Los Angeles’ famous “Cinco de Mayo” street and music festival that entertained generations of L.A. Latinos through the streets of downtown Los Angeles, Peter Bellas has announced he has sold his company, All Access Entertainment, to a media executive from Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG).

Bellas will remain on as a consultant to All Access Entertainment assisting new ownership in developing the 28th annual Fiesta Broadway in 2017.  He will also be active as an independent consultant to event organizers who want to connect with sponsors under the banner of his new event marketing firm, Bellco Promotions.

Bellas, was one of the original founding fathers behind Fiesta Broadway when the festival was started by Univision’s local TV-station affiliate, KMEX in 1990.  When KMEX decided to retire from the festival business, Bellas purchased the rights to produce the event in 1993 and started All Access Entertainment. “It’s been a good run,” said Bellas, an entertainment exec known for having his finger on the pulse of Hispanic event marketing.  “Now it’s time to pass the baton and explore new challenges in the event marketing field.  It’s what I believe in.”

Prior to working for Univision, Bellas was the radio sales manager at SBS Broadcasting and also was advertising director of La Opinion Spanish language daily.  He started his career in the racing industry at Hollywood Park and also served as Director of Promotions for the Los Angeles Aztecs Soccer Team in the old North American Soccer League.
