Immigrant Archive Project and DishLATINO Partner to Highlight Inspiring Stories of Latino Immigrants

With Hispanic Heritage Month in full swing, the Immigrant Archive Project and DishLATINO are teaming up to digitally showcase the stories of Latino immigrants who left their home countries to build a new life in the United States.

In the video series, Latino immigrants, from popstar Luis Fonsi to everyday heroes making a difference in their communities, speak to themes such as first arriving in the United States, the importance of education and the impact others made on their journeys of ‘Sigue Haciéndola.’ The videos are available on the Sigue Haciéndola website. They will also air as advertising spots on DishLATINO.

“We are thrilled to partner with DishLATINO during Hispanic Heritage Month in honoring the inspirational stories of Latino immigrants in America,” said Tony Hernandez, cofounder and producer of the Immigrant Archive Project. “This ambitious, multiplatform initiative will ensure that Immigrant Archive Project stories are seen and heard from coast to coast, helping us all to truly appreciate the remarkable accomplishments of our Latino immigrant community.”

DishLATINO echoed Hernandez’s feelings toward the partnership.

“Our partnership with the Immigrant Archive Project is a natural fit given our shared goal of celebrating those who are striving to succeed in the U.S. – or as our campaign says, ‘Sigue Haciéndola,’” said Alfredo Rodriguez, vice president of DishLATINO. “During Hispanic Heritage Month, we are proud to tell these stories, and we hope to send a powerful message of hope, optimism and pride that encourages others to keep pressing on.”
