ANA Announces Winners of its 2015 Multicultural Excellence Awards

Kimberly-Clark Corporation’s Kleenex brand and its agency VSA Partners received top honors, last night, winning the Best in Show award in the Multicultural Excellence Awards competition for “Timely Care”, a campaign that tells the story of how a gesture, given the chance, has the power to connect and uplift us all.

 

In addition, seven companies, and their agencies, were presented with grand prizes for industry leading advertising across 10 categories. The awards ceremony was held during the ANA’s (Association of National Advertisers) Multicultural Marketing &Diversity Conference.

Now in its 15th year, the 2015 Multicultural Excellence Awards recognize client side marketers and their agency, who produced industry leading multicultural advertising campaigns between June 2014 and June 2015. This year’s competition received 197 entries.

The 2015 grand prize brand and agency winners in each of the categories are as follows:

The Best in Show award is given to the best of the grand prize winners in all 10 categories.
“We are extremely proud to honor the best in show, grand prize winners and their agencies for creating such outstanding multicultural campaigns,” said Bob Liodice, ANA president and CEO. “This year’s award winners are trend-setting leaders whose sound strategies and success have further raised the industry’s bar in multicultural work.”

The ANA announce d the award recipients at the ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards Dinner hosted by Gilbert Dávila, Chair of the ANA Multicultural Marketing & Diversity Committee and Janine Martella, Director of Committees and Conferences at the ANA.

The ANA Multicultural Marketing & Diversity Committee established the awards 15 years ago to help raise awareness and recognition for outstanding work in African-American, Asian, Hispanic, LGBT and People with Disabilities advertising. A portion of the proceeds collected from the awards submission fees will help to fund scholarships for high-potential multicultural students who plan to pursue careers in advertising and/or marketing.
