Esparza named Senior Account Supervisor at Edelman Miami

Edelman Miami is expanding its U.S. Hispanic team with the integration of Yazmine Esparza as Senior Account Supervisor of Miami’s Corporate practice. Esparza will help drive a key piece of Edelman’s corporate global business, while advancing the firm’s expertise in the U.S. Hispanic demographic.

“With more than a decade of experience specializing in U.S. Hispanic and Latin American audiences, Yazmine brings in-depth understanding of the cultural intelligence required to drive engagement with the Hispanic community across the United States for our clients,” said Carlos Correcha-Price, General Manager of Edelman Miami. “Her interdisciplinary experience brings perspective and proven knowledge to benefit clients and enrich their communications marketing plans.”

Throughout her career, Esparza has developed and managed diverse strategic communication and crisis management programs in the areas of health, tourism, trade promotion, country reputation, and public policy.  Most recently, she worked at one of Miami’s top Hispanic shops, where she expanded her public relations experience to include media planning, digital and production management. Previously, Esparza was part of Ogilvy Washington’s Corporate & Public Affairs Group, where she focused on the general market, Hispanic and niche audiences and counseled clients in Latin America and the United States.

In Washington D.C., Esparza worked on content strategy for National Geographic, managed public relations campaigns for White House established Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and produced several bilingual, Hispanic media projects. She was later part of the founding Board of Directors of the Hispanic Public Relations Association’s DC Chapter. Recently, Esparza was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2015 PR News’ PR People Awards on the Crisis Manager of the Year category.
