Romero joins Ogilvy PR

Ogilvy Public Relations today announced that Andrea Romero has been named Vice President of Corporate Communications, USA effective immediately.  Romero joins Ogilvy PR from ProColombia, the tourism, investment and exports promotion arm of the Colombian government – a long-standing client of Ogilvy PR.  Romero will report directly to Jennifer Risi, Global Chief Communications Officer and Managing Director, Ogilvy Media Influence.

Romero’s responsibilities will include external communications [traditional media, social media management and stakeholder engagement], internal communications, content creation, website development and overall day-to-day management of the Ogilvy PR brand in the USA.  Romero will support Risi’s global communications vision and strategy to drive awareness for the agency and its leadership within this key market.  Romero will be based in the New York office.

Romero brings more than a decade of experience working with senior executives and government leaders to create integrated marketing and communication strategies designed to build brand awareness, drive stakeholder engagement and enhance the overall consumer experience.  She has extensive experience in building and managing teams and has handled high-level media relations across various categories, sectors, and geographies.
