Torres named VP Custom Research at ThinkNow

ThinkNow announce that Jannet Torres has joined the company in the newly created position of vice president, custom research. Torres will have national responsibility for building ThinkNow’s market research and consumer insights team and will be based in Los Altos, Calif. 

“Jannet brings a wealth of experience in multicultural market research to ThinkNow and she’s the right talent we need to strategically grow our consumer insights team,” says Mario X. Carrasco, co-founder and principal, ThinkNow. “Her depth of experience and proven track record with large consumer brands are critical assets to the team as we bring new products and services to the market.”

As a bilingual-bicultural researcher, Torres will play a pivotal role in creating custom research for clients in various industries including technology, consumer packaged goods, food and retail. She will be responsible for managing client engagement and collaborate with the sales team to attract new business and grow existing client relationships.

Torres has more than 20 years of experience in market research, partnering with clients in design and execution of market research initiatives with companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, Nestle, Frito Lay and Safeway. She spent the first decade of her professional career at Hispanic Market Connections, one of the pioneer market research firms dedicated to studying the U.S. Hispanic market. She then served 16 years on the client service team at Knowledge Networks that was later acquired by GfK.

While at GfK, she played a key role in launching KnowledgePanel Latino™ and contributed to the growth of the firm’s retail and multicultural practices.
