Blackstone, a provider of prepaid products and services, has chosen Marañon & Associates as its national advertising agency to handle this year's $10 million dollar account. Patty Valdes, Marañon's vice president and media director, says the campaign will target different ethnic groups in the U.S., with 80% of the media budget going to Hispanic consumers and retailers. Blackstone offers prepaid phone cards, cellular products, homelines and paging through 300,000 retails locations. Marañon will manage all the client's advertising needs, including media placements, public relations and promotions.
