Ornelas & Associates Lands Nissan Regional Business.

Ornelas & Associates announced that it has been awarded virtually all of Nissan North America’s regional-level advertising business targeting the Hispanic market nationwide. This represents a major expansion of the agency’s work on behalf of Nissan’s Frontier, Altima and Sentra products, for which the agency has done national branding in the Hispanic market over the past two years.

The new regional work by Ornelas & Associates on behalf of Nissan will consist of an integrated national/regional initiative with branding components and a retailing message. Most of the regional campaign will be centered around seasonal events and holidays.

Nissan’s decision was based in part on the success of Ornelas & Associates’ earlier work on the national branding campaign. Sales data from the Polk Company revealed that the national branding campaign increased sales of the advertised Nissan products by more than 15 percent in the Hispanic markets targeted. By comparison, sales in those same markets of Nissan products that were not actively marketed to Hispanic consumers were down more than 10 percent.
