PRSA Marketing Alliance With Hispanic & Black PRwire.

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced that it has entered into a marketing alliance with the nation’s two largest minority press release wire services, Hispanic PR Wire (HPRW) and Black PRWire (BPRW).

Under the terms of the agreement, HPRW and BPRW will provide PRSA members with a 5% discount when they distribute news releases on any local, regional or national circuit offered by either wire service. Both companies will also assist PRSA through aggressive cross-promotions and by assisting the organization in all its national efforts to recruit more minorities. The agreement only applies to news distributions related to Hispanic and African American media and does
not limit PRSA’s ability to work with other companies.

“This agreement gives PRSA members a good discount benefit while bolstering our organization’s ability to recruit additional membership,” said Catherine A. Bolton, executive director and chief operating officer. “By partnering with these leading minority wire services we are making the statement that we will do everything we can to become a more diverse organization.”

“This is a very significant partnership that we will strengthen through both the value of our services to PRSA members and through our commitment to excellence,” said Manny Ruiz, President and CEO of Hispanic PR Wire. Ruiz currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Hispanic Market Section of the PRSA South Florida Chapter.

Adds Bernadette Morris, president and CEO of Black PRWire: “Black PRWire is delighted to work with PRSA on this dynamic venture. By building this collaborative effort, we are certain to develop a strong and solid alliance in connecting with our diverse communities.”
