National Hispanic Corporate Council Cancels Annual Meeting.

The National Hispanic Corporate Council has cancelled its Annual Member Meeting, which was scheduled for Nov. 7-9, 2001 in Washington, D.C. The content of the meeting will be moved to its next meeting to be held February 20-22, 2002 in the nation’s capitol city. The theme is “Corporate Social Responsibility to Hispanic America.”

“We took a survey of our membership following the tragic events of Sept. 11th,” said NHCC President & CEO Carlos Soto. “Our corporate representatives voted to cancel the November meeting, but it also voted to hold our next meeting in Washington, D.C. in February.”

The NHCC also mourns the loss of its colleague and friend, Norma Khan, who died in the airplane that was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon. “She was instrumental to our continued success,” said Soto. “Her enthusiasm and commitment were true, and she will be missed.”
