Reynaldo Mena has been named editor of La Opinión effective December 10, 2012.
Mena has been with the Los Angeles Times for the past nine years as editorial director of Hoy, their Los Angeles based Spanish language publication. He began his career over twenty-five years ago as a reporter in Mexico and since 1993 Mena has worked in various newsrooms across the United States including as editor of the Orange County Register’s Exclesior publication and assistant editor of Nuevo Tiempo of the San Jose Mercury News.
