ANA: Battle of the Brands.

On February 16, 2005, ANA will partner with the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) to stage the first live branded entertainment competition – “The Battle of the Brands.”

This “real time” competition will be held as part of Ad Age’s Madison & Vine Conference in Los Angeles, California. However, to hold our event in February, we need for you to respond to our Call for Entries by December 10.

As you know, branded entertainment is rapidly growing as an important part of a brand’s marketing arsenal. The Battle of the Brands is a team competition designed to award marketers and their creative collaborators (agencies, production teams) for their success in executing a superb branded entertainment effort. The audience – using real time polling machines – will judge the winners in several key categories including creativity, strategy, production ingenuity and, of course, results!

Here are some of the headlines:

The competition will take place live at Ad Age’s Madison & Vine Conference on February 16.

Entertainment vehicles may include TV programs, feature films, music, music videos, and video games.

Entries will be culled down to four finalists by a panel of advertising and entertainment professionals.

The finalists will be invited to field a team of any size to make a live 20-minute presentation and compete for bragging rights before an audience of your peers who will vote for the winners.

Five prizes will be awarded for: Strategy, Creativity, Results, Production Ingenuity, and the Grand Prize for the best overall.

Are you proud of your campaign? Show us what you have. The December 10 Call for Entries is available online at http://www.battleofthebrands.org
