Univision KBNT-TV ‘Fiestas Patrias’ @ Embarcadero Park In San Diego.

Univision San Diego, KBNT-TV, the City of San Diego and the Consulate of Mexico will celebrate Mexico’s Independence day with a “Fiestas Patrias Festival”, on Saturday, September 15th, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, at Embarcadero Park, next to Seaport Village, in San Diego Bay. The annual event will feature a live broadcast of the “Grito” celebration in Mexico City’s Zocalo presided by President Vicente Fox.

Entertainment this year will include the traditional Ballet Folkloric, Mariachi Real de San Diego, singers, floreo de reata, a children’s choir; Banda music with Banda Povora; and the best of Salsa/Merengue music, Zona Nueva. Fiestas Patrias Festival will also have a wide variety of traditional Mexican food featuring carne asada, carnitas, fish tacos, tostadas, tortas, antojitos, etc. served at moderate prices by local restaurants and/or community organizations. A sponsor’s booth area will provide free product sampling, games and numerous give-away and information booths.
