Entravision KBNT-TV IN San Diego ‘Premio Los Nuestro’ Delivers Unprecedented NSI Ratings.

For the first time in KBNT-TV’s ten year history, a Univision Network Special, “Premio Lo Nuestro 2001” earned an impressive 5.0 Nielsen NSI overnight rating Thursday, February 8th. “Premio Lo Nuestro 2001” is an annual Latin Music Industry Award Show in which winners are selected according to votes from Spanish language radio program directors throughout the U.S.

Although KBNT-TV’s viewing audience has steadily increased over the past ten years, the 5.0 overnight rating reached with “Premio Lo Nuestro” is a milestone for the station. Significant viewing has been reported in past overnight and Nielsen Surveys, especially during the Local 6pm Newscast and KBNT’s Prime Time Novelas. In this case, “Premio Lo Nuestro” delivered higher ratings than KSWB’s “Charmed”, WB News and Blind Date plus the FOX 6 offerings of “Getting a Ticket in America”, “Stupid Behavior”, FOX 6 News and “3rd. Rock”. This KBNT Special was also very competitive with ABC’s “Whose Line is It Anyway?”, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” and ABC’s other Prime-Time offerings.
