Azteca America renews its afternoon programming block with the premiere of “El Club de Eva”, a television magazine show that helps viewers improve their quality of life through advice, information, and discussions, and “Entre Correr y Vivir” action series starring Vadhir Derbez that pays homage to Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, widely regarded as the best Mexican Formula One drivers in the 1970s.

Univision Network announce the premiere of the epic series “El Rico y Lázaro” a compelling story of romance and intrigue set in Babylonian palaces on January 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7:00 p.m. CT) and thereafter Monday through Friday in the same timeslot.

Entravision Communications Corporation announced format and programming changes to its radio stations in the Los Angeles market. La Suavecita enhances its programming lineup to align the station's talent to enhance its reach across the greater Los Angeles metro area and Entravision introduces its proven La Tricolor format to Los Angeles.

Entravision has made format changes in twelve markets this morning as it has eliminated the Spanish Adult Hits “José” brand from its portfolio along with its final Spanish CHR “Super Estrella” station.

Telemundo annoyed an expansion of its news programming by introducing a combination of local and national weekday newscasts from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Expanding on its ongoing investments in news content, the company will launch local weekday newscasts at 12:00 P.M. / 11:00 A.M. CT across ten Telemundo-owned stations, beginning Monday, January 22. In addition, Telemundo will launch  “Noticias Telemundo, Mediodía,” a national newscast to air Monday to Friday at 12:30 P.M. / 11:30 A.M. CT.

Telemundo kicks off the New Year with the launch of six new kids programs under Mi Telemundo, the U.S. Hispanic network’s three-hour Saturday programming block, premiering January 6, 2018.

Azteca America will broadcast “Desafío Súper Humanos”, the most extreme season yet of the reality adventure series “Desafío”, beginning Monday, January 8.  A group of extraordinary men and women will face off in a series of strenuous physical challenges to win the competition’s top prize.

ESPN will air all eight matches of the 2018 Florida Cup (January 10-20, 2018) across its family of networks in the following regions: the United States (ESPN Deportes), Mexico and Central America, Caribbean Islands, South America (except for Brazil) and  for the first time since 2015, Oceania.

Azteca America announced that the network’s programming is moving to KJLA Channel 57, a full power HD station in Los Angeles. KJLA will air all current Azteca America programming in Los Angeles, the country’s largest Hispanic DMA.

iHeartMedia announced that Pedro Javier González has been named Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartLatino. González will report to Enrique Santos, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of iHeartLatino and Brad Hardin, Executive Vice President and General Manager for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group. He will be based out of Miami.
