mun2 will premiere Jenni Rivera Presents: Chiquis ‘n Control on Saturday, July 28 at 3 p.m. EST in the You’re On Weekends original programming block. The one-hour reality series will be a spin-off from mun2’s most popular and highest-rated original reality series, I Love Jenni, which follows the life of Latin superstar Jenni Rivera and her family. In Chiquis ‘n Control audiences will follow Rivera’s eldest daughter Chiquis as she launches her first business, maneuvers a new residence and takes on the entertaining world of being a single Latina in Los Angeles.
Establishing a career for herself, Chiquis will become a first-time business owner in the series, launching a blow dry salon near her home in the San Fernando Valley. Audiences will see her build her business from start to finish – from construction and décor to hiring staff to running the business. Chiquis will also strike out on her own, moving out of the family residence and into her own apartment, being forced to balance her new household, responsibilities to her family, her social/dating life, and being the boss of her first business venture. In each episode, viewers will experience both the drama inside the salon as well as in Chiquis’ home and personal life.
Chiquis first captivated audiences with Jenni Rivera Presents: Chiquis & Raq-C, a reality series that followed the adventures of Chiquis and her friend, two young Latinas growing up in L.A. Airing during mun2’s You’re On Weekends block, the series had an average of nearly four million total viewers, according to Nielsen. Throughout both seasons of I Love Jenni and Chiquis & Raq-C, Chiquis’ vibrant energy and genuineness made her a much-loved favorite among young viewers.
