Azteca America to broadcast the 66th Miss Universe Competition

Azteca America will broadcast for the third consecutive year the most eagerly anticipated beauty pageant of the year: Miss Universe, one of the most famous international competitions now in its 66th year and featuring participants representing over 90 different countries.  Miss Universe 2017 from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Sunday, November 26 beginning at 6 pm/ 5 C on Azteca America.

This year’s broadcast includes the special participation of Lupita Jones, the first Mexican to be crowned Miss Universe.  Lupita Jones joins former Miss Guatemala Lourdes Figueroa in Las Vegas to bring audiences every detail regarding the competition.

The event will be hosted by beauty pageant experts Vanessa Claudio, Patricio Borghetti, Harry Levy, Susana Moscatel, and Esteban Macías in the studio and will feature live narration in Spanish.

The objective of Miss Universe is to generate self-confidence in women so that they can reach and surpass their personal goals.  The pageant is also looking for representatives who may become defenders of humanitarian causes and who will reflect a world where cross-cultural understanding and coexistence can prevail.

Azteca America will broadcast a one-hour special titled “Camino a la corona”, previous to the Miss Universe contest at 6pm/ 5C
