The Telemundo Station Group announced that Migdalia Figueroa is the new President and General Manager of Telemundo 31 / WTMO, the Telemundo owned station serving Spanish-speaking audiences in Central Florida. Effective immediately, Figueroa is responsible for leading all station operations including news/digital, sales, marketing/promotions, human resources, community affairs, and technology/operations. She is leaving her role as Vice President of News for NBC 6 / WTVJ. She reports to Manuel Martinez, President of the Telemundo Station Group.

She has also overseen the news team’s reporting of several important stories including the impact of COVID-19 in South Florida, the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, political campaigns’ efforts to win the South Florida Latino vote, and full-team coverage for hurricanes that impacted South Florida and the Caribbean, among others.
