Beck receives Young Planner Recognition at 2008 HAPE Awards.

HispanicAd.com presented the 2008 Young Planner recognition to Account Planning Director of Miami based C.O.D Jeff Beck during the 2008 Hispanic Account Planning Excelencia (HAPE) awards during the fall convention of the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies on Thursday September 11, 2008 in Los Angeles.

According to our research we have uncovered that Jeff lives somewhat confused by what his background truly is. Having lived and worked in Santiago, Chile and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and now fully entrenched in the US Hispanic market we’ve given him honorary status as being Latino. More importantly, Jeff has unique experience in the strategic planning realm, bringing a very creative perspective to his strategic approach.

Before joining C.O.D., Jeff was a Senior Strategic Planner in the WPP Group agency Winglatino in New York, where he oversaw strategic planning for a number of DIAGEO brands, including Johnnie Walker, Don Julio, Smirnoff Ice, Buchanans and Crown Royal. Previous work in account planning at TBWA\CHIAT\DAY in NYC and Scama Communications in Rio de Janeiro have also helped shape his knowledge of both global and local brands. His work has been recognized by the Hispanic Account Planning Excellence awards, for VW, MTV3 and Febreze.

At C.O.D., Jeff heads the strategic planning efforts for clients such as Volkswagen, MTV Tr3s and Regions Bank, bringing a fresh and innovative approach to the agency, not to mention some Portuguese.
