MTV Unplugged scores at the 2011 Latin Grammys.

Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más and MTV Latin America’s coproduced MTV Unplugged shows featuring Regional Mexican music icons Los Tigres del Norte & Mexican rock artists Zoe take home three Latin Grammys at last night’s ceremony in Las Vegas. The MTV Unplugged: Los Tigres del Norte & Friends won ‘Best Norteno Album’, and Música de Fondo: MTV Unplugged Zoe took home two wins including ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ and ‘Best Rock Song’ for “Labios Rotos”. The MTV Unplugged shows were Executive Produced by Charlie Singer, SVP of Content & Creative for Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más, and Fernando Gaston, SVP of Content and Creative for MTV & VH1 Latin America.

“There are no words that can convey just how proud we are of this very special recording. We were honored to be the first group to bring Regional Mexican Music to the MTV Unplugged stage, and flattered to be joined by these extremely talented artists that we are blessed to also call our friends,” commented Los Tigres. “Their wonderful performances helped us craft powerful new interpretations of many of our favorite songs – creating an album that captures one of the most memorable nights of our career.” They added.
