Madigan promoted to EVP of Content Distribution at Univision.

Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) announced that Sarah Madigan has been promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president of Content Distribution. Madigan joined the company in 2011, and most recently served as senior vice president of Business Affairs.  She will continue to be based in Univision’s New York headquarters and will report to Tonia O’Connor, president of Content Distribution and Corporate Business Development.  In her new position, Madigan will oversee content sales and strategy for digital and linear distribution.

UCI’s Content Distribution team is responsible for the distribution of all the Company’s digital services including its UVideos Digital Network, Flama, a new digital offering for Hispanics that will feature original digital content, and the expansion of the company’s content portfolio across all platforms in partnerships with its existing and new distributors.
 
Madigan has overseen distribution agreements for Univision’s TV Everywhere service, while securing broad distribution for the Company’s new networks with partners including DirecTV, Cablevision, DISH Network, AT&T and Verizon, as well as becoming the first Hispanic media company to bring video content to Hulu and Xbox. These multi-year, multi-platform agreements reflect Univision’s distribution philosophy to meet the needs of every Hispanic on every platform.
