BBDO In Miami Turns On Discovery Networks LatAM.

Discovery Networks Latin America/Iberia has selected BBDO Miami, a division of BBDO Worldwide Network, to handle its regional advertising for all of its six networks including Discovery Channel, People + Arts, Animal Planet, Discovery Kids, Discovery Health and Discovery Travel & Adventure.

The Miami-based panregional content provider mounted a review for its Latin America creative and media account last January. The agency decision came after a local search led by Vice President of Marketing Stephen Friedman and Off-Air Marketing Director Ariella Midolo.

“Discovery Networks is a very exciting client with huge potential for growth in Latin America; any way you look at it, Discovery Networks and BBDO Miami make a powerful team,” said Ernesto Cordobés, President of BBDO Miami. “It is like winning six accounts; each of the Discovery channels offers a unique challenge and a new creative opportunity,” added Lane Atkins, Sr. VP, Creative Director of BBDO Miami.
