MEXICANAL celebrates 10th Anniversary

MEXICANAL celebrates its 10th anniversary this month. Launched in 2005 by Mexican company Cablecom and Castalia Communications from Atlanta, Mexicanal was originally distributed exclusively by DIRECTV. Over the last few years, however, the channel’s distribution has extended to some of the biggest pay-TV companies, including COMCAST, Cablevision, Charter and AT&T, among other platforms.

“We are proud to have significantly expanded our coverage, which includes the main Hispanic markets in the United States,” said Luis Torres-Bohl, President of Mexicanal.“And this is a great opportunity to reiterate my deepest gratitude to our viewers, the affiliated stations that provide programming in Mexico, our US distributors and my colleagues who work hard to ensure that Mexicanal offers quality and engaging programming to our viewers.”

Torres-Bohl added that the channel has revamped its image with a more dynamic and modern graphic presentation. This update includes new interstitials with different music, logos and animations.
