Semana de La Mujer on ESPN Deportes

For the seventh consecutive year, Semana de La Mujer (Ladies Week) returns to ESPN Deportes to support breast cancer awareness and highlight the significant roles women play in today’s world of sports. Beginning Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 14, SportsCenter, Jorge Ramos y Su Banda, Raza Deportiva and Nación ESPN will feature some of ESPN Deportes’ top female sports commentators and special guests.

Carolina Padrón, Kary Correa and Vanessa Huppenkothen will lead the network’s SportsCenter nightly editions (11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. ET) while special guests Carolina de la Salas and Elizabeth Patiño will contribute to Jorge Ramos y Su Banda (4 p.m.) and Raza Deportiva (10 a.m.), respectively. In addition, Claudia Trejos will appear on ESPN Deportes’ Nación ESPN (7:30 p.m.) as special guest co-host alongside Pilar Perez.

Throughout the week, the programs will feature material and segments highlighting women in sports and the impact and challenges they face and will dedicate special segments to further generate attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Chicas en Control, a weekly special of Zona ESPN NY that airs every Friday at 2 p.m. on ESPN Deportes Radio 1050 AM New York, will also join the Semana de la Mujer celebration. The show is hosted and produced by all-female team including Trejos, Carolina Guillen and Giara Nova, offering a unique perspective on the sports landscape and entertainment world.

ESPNDeportes.com will dedicate an exlusive section to Semana de La Mujer and will feature women, who are breast cancer survivors, and now athletes or influencers in their respective fields. Additionally, special interviews featuring ESPN commentators, leading Semana de La Mujer, and information on Mexican athletes, who participated in the last Olympic Games, will also be published.
